The V&W Collection was created in collaboration between Vivien Venezuela and Wennong Cai. Envisioned in 2010, this carefully curated drink bottle collection exemplifies the drink variety in the everyday life in Melbourne, Australia. This exhibit has the dual aim to showcase a part of the Melbournian culture to visitors and be a reminder to take notice of the small histories of these seemingly small objects in our lives.

Red Bull is a well-known drink is a staple for many minds working under pressure in universities or the like. Today, Red Bull is available in 171 countries where over 62 billion cans consumed.
Mother is the energy drink that gives you the energy and drive to tackle life head-on, with full potency at a maximum of 32mg of caffeine (per 100mls). This drink is manufactured by Monster Beverage Corporation where it was launched in 2009 in New Zealand. Mainly marketed to Australians and New Zealanders, this is a popular choice to reinvigorate tired bodies and minds. It is no wonder why this drink is marketed the ‘Mother’ of energy drinks.

From young, Melbourne-based Vivien has been fascinated by the simplicity of life and capturing it through different mediums. She had worked on various collections as either a helping hand or one of the main partners. Vivien had envisioned this project since 2010 and reached out to Wennong to be her partner to create the V & W Collection.
Influenced by the busy streets in Melbourne, Wennong created a name for himself with popular designers in the artistic area. His works have varied from exploring wildlife in forests, to capturing the intricacies of up-and-coming technology. His anticipated works had captured the eyes of Vivien, to join the V & W Collection.
